1000w DJ amp and sub sound good in my bedroom?
That is an absurdly huge amount of power for your bedroom. If you got a high quality 150 watt amp and an at-least-as-good 200w (rms) or higher sub, that would be plenty. your DJ amp would work, but the sub's probably a 15" or 18" or even bigger, meant to be heard from anywhere from 25 to 250 feet really. you'll get a better response at the very bottom end with such a big speaker, but it won't matter in a small room because the room's walls are smaller than the wavelength so it will be distorted anyways. a 10" or 12" speaker is plenty in a bedroom.
Basically, your DJ amp with work, and won't necessarily sound terrible, but your neighboors may hate you if you ever turn it above about 15% power.
