He had the courage to face acid techno/trance, the style ruling on the local scene, and chose progressive trance for himself. The beginnings were tough. Working hard at Rotterdam pubs and bars, carrying and washing mugs, helped him earn money for the first computer decks. After finally managing to collect the dream amount, he quickly started to learn djing. However, it turned out, that nobody was keen on listening to that kind of music in his hometown. This fact forced DJ Vileroy to take part in several new talents competitions.
