It would only take a couple of days of lots and lots of nursing for your milk to pick up. You could also try pumping as often as you can in between her feeding if she is upset and won't nurse. Don't be worried if you do not get any milk when you pump, this is normal and does not mean you are not making milk. I have exclusively breast-fed 4 babies including twins and have never been able to pump very much, if any at all. A baby is a way better pump than any breast pump, and some mom's just do not get let down (that tingly feeling you feel when your milk comes out after baby sucks for a few seconds) with a pump.
